How to increase metabolism naturally? How to lose weight? With the current life styles and the health disorders associated to that, often people wonder, how can one boost BMR? Boosting up the metabolic rate will help you lose weight faster. Metabolic rate depends on age and sex of a person. Older people tend to have a lower metabolic rate, and men tend to have higher metabolic rate than women. A person living in a hot climate also has a higher metabolic rate. Over the counter medicines available for increasing metabolic rate usually contain animal thyroid. They should be avoided due to the associated side effects such as tremors, increases heart beats, nervousness and stomach upsets. Rather prefer negative calorie foods.
